Our Journey
Machado Auto began as a small mobile and on-site service in Statesboro, GA. Owner, Mario Machado, was hit hard with some car expenses as a student at Georgia Southern and was disappointed in the service, pricing and lack of proper troubleshooting. His finances were limited. He quickly realized not only how critical having a working car was, but also the importance of having the repairs done at a fair price.
After completing his degree at Georgia Southern University, Mario was employed by Gulfstream as a Tooling Designer. Developing detailed drawing packages for custom manufacturing tools included holding fixtures, master models, templates and specialized handling of equipment. It was imperative to meet industry standards. Constant learning, troubleshooting and interacting with clients and other technicians are all skills Mario brings to his automotive business.
Trained a Mechanical Engineer, Mario became experienced in design, analysis and manufacturing of mechanical (and thermal) systems. Diagnosing car repairs (and fixing them properly) often involves applying the principles of motion, energy and force to ensure that the repair is safe, efficient and reliable. Analyzing and testing for functionality and quality are skills and training that he has incorporated into his automotive business. This style of business, within the automotive industry, is truly unique!
After securing property in Eden, GA, Mario operated his business out of at two bay garage. The garage was in much needed repair but was able to keep him out of working in the rain at least! Word of mouth of reasonable prices and honest, reliable service got around enabling his business to grow. In October 2025, new construction of a three bay garage was completed allowing Mario to service more people, more efficiently.
